This podcast episode delves into the profound notion that what we often label as hauntings may not be mere specters of fear but rather unresolved dialogues concerning death and loss. We explore the hypothesis that compassion, rather than trepidation, ought to govern our discourse surrounding the deceased. Our esteemed guest, Tina Irwin, a lifelong student of metaphysics and former U.S. Navy commander, elucidates her mission of guiding the living in assisting the dead in their transition. The conversation traverses various themes, including the experiences of psychic children and the emotional landscapes that linger after death. Ultimately, we invite our listeners to contemplate the intersection of mysticism and human responsibility, encouraging a re-evaluation of how we perceive and interact with the unseen.

A profound exploration into the nature of hauntings and the human experience surrounding death unfolds within this episode. We delve into the notion that what society often labels as hauntings may, in fact, be unresolved conversations from those who have departed. The discussion emphasizes the need for compassion in our understanding of death, suggesting that fear often supersedes empathy in our dialogues about mortality. Through the insights shared by Tina Irwin, a former U.S. Navy commander and metaphysical expert, we are encouraged to reassess our perceptions of the deceased and their lingering presence in our lives. Irwin's experiences illuminate the idea that assisting the departed is not a supernatural endeavor but rather a deeply human responsibility, urging us to harness compassion as a tool to facilitate their passage to the other side.

Takeaways:

  • The phenomenon of hauntings may represent unresolved conversations rather than mere horror narratives.
  • Compassion appears to be a crucial element in addressing the complexities of death and the deceased's needs.
  • The ability to assist the dead in crossing over is rooted in our inherent humanity, not in supernatural capabilities.
  • Psychic children often perceive the spiritual realm more clearly, as they have not yet formed a veil of skepticism.
  • Many individuals who die suddenly may not immediately comprehend their death, causing them to linger on Earth due to attachment.
  • The act of helping spirits transition can provide profound healing for both the living and the deceased.

SPEAKER_01

What if some of the things that we call hauntings are not the horror stories but they are the unresolved conversations. What if the fear has simply replaced the compassion in how we talk about death? And what if the ability to help the dead is not supernatural, but it's deeply human.

Exploring the Intersection of Mysticism and Compassion

SPEAKER_01

So, today we are stepping into a conversation where mysticism meets responsibility and curiosity meets compassion. So hey day listeners, welcome back to another powerful episode of Mind Meets Machine where we explore the intersection of consciousness, unseen intelligence, human perception, and the questions technology still can't answer. Yep. So I'm your host, Avik, and today we are joined by love to guests. Please welcome Tina Irvin. So welcome to the show.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you so much for having me, and I love that introduction. That is beautifully written.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you, thank you so much, Tina. Yeah, I mean I'm really happy that you joined today, and this is one of uh my favorite uh topic, which I really love to discuss uh every time. Yeah, I mean I'm difficult to discuss a lot of things here, and but before we get into the discussion, dear listeners, I'll quickly love to introduce you with Tina. So Tina is a lifelong uh metaphysics student, the author of the nine books, retired US Navy Commander, and self-described post-helper. Yes. So her mission is very very simple, but uh I would say it's profound because she teaches the living how to help the dead cross over.

Exploring Psychic Experiences and the Afterlife

SPEAKER_01

So in this episode, we will explore the psychic children, psychic sensitivity, and what happens after death, and how compassion may be the missing piece in the conversations about spirits. So if you have ever wondered like whether there's more happening beyond what we measure, then this conversation is for you. And definitely I'll not take much of a time. Let's get started. Welcome to the show again.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

Perfect. So so like I was mentioning Tina that it is one of my favorite topics. I always love to talk about this beyond mental health awareness. But um but but but before we get into the psychic children and the ghost helping, one thing I'm very curious is like, when did you first realize that what you were experiencing was not a kind of imagination? That was something real that was happening.

SPEAKER_00

I think it started when I was a child, and I had a a Siamese cat, and she was hit by a car, and I kept seeing her ghost, and I think I was about seven years old, and she was my best friend. And she she would keep she kept coming back to me, and I think because I was was emotionally holding her. I tried to explain it to my mother, but you know, this is the 1950s. I mean, I'm ancient, so it's the 1950s, and my mother didn't know what to do with it, so she was she wasn't unkind to me. She just she's like, honey, I know you miss your kitty. And okay, you know, that's what happened. And you know, but as I got older, and especially after I got married, I met my husband and married my husband, it's like something turned a switch, and all the psychic ability started to just explode, and I did not know what to do with it. And I think I'm like a lot of people, and I didn't the difference for me is I didn't doubt myself. I know the difference. I'm a naval officer, for God's sake. I know the difference between reality and something I can see and touch and something that's not there. But I had an experience right after, I mean, we hadn't even been married a year, and we were living in officer housing in New London, Connecticut, at the submarine base there. And I it's a long story, so I won't take up you know your show with that, but it was this woman died. She looked like she looked very similar to me, she was my age, and she was so angry that she died that she tried to possess me. And a lot of people have talked about possession, and but very few people know what it's like when a ghost moves into your body and then tries to take over your persona and your consciousness. Now we know that this happens when people are drunk.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Because your auric field drops to zero, and it's like your body is Swiss cheese, and you can have any number of ghosts walk into your body. But is it?

SPEAKER_01

I mean, because of alcohol, it uh drops down the aura?

SPEAKER_00

Alcohol drops the aura, and so does pork, by the way. It drops your auric field um and makes you uh it drops your frequency because in the universe, in all of life, everything has a frequency. The higher your frequency, the healthier, the cleaner, the more beautiful, the lower the frequency, the more there is sickness. I didn't understand any of this, but it didn't make it still didn't make sense because I was happily married. I really loved my job, I enjoyed my neighbors, I was having an amazing life, so I didn't have a low frequency, but for some reason there was um magnetic resonance between us, and she found me for whatever reason, and I became terrified, and her face would cross my face, and it terrified my husband, and he's thinking, Oh my gosh, what has happened? I married this woman, and now this crazy thing is happening, and we've been married almost 53 years, so he stuck with it, needless to say. And she was getting tighter and tighter and tighter control. I was getting colder and colder. It's like part of me was dying as she started to take over. And it's an astonishing story, but it it has happened to many people, they just don't understand that it's take that what's happening to them. And so my husband did an astonishing thing. He got out a Bible and he read the 23rd Psalm. Lo, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. He put me on his lap, he put his arms around me, and he read this out loud. It was the sweetest, most compassionate thing we could do. And I realized that this woman died, and she was grieving her death. It was my first introduction to the fact that if you die suddenly, you are so sad. You had a life to live, children to raise, um, you know, a husband or wife to love, and you're grieving that you died, and you, oh my gosh, how did this happen? It is a staggering situation. But for the living, it's like, I'm so sorry you died, but really, I really do want to live my whole life. Well, with my husband's kindness, and I give him enormous credit for that. By reading, he did the only thing he knew how to do. And I think the 23rd Psalm exists in virtually every faith on the planet that I know of. In theme and variation, it's how we're told how we can help the dead, and they need help because they have the same personality, the same consciousness, but they don't have the physicality of a body. This is just, you know, we have to go from point A to point B so we get in a car. Well, to have a mortal life, we have to get in a body, and that's what mortal life is. Well, we don't stop being who we are when the body physically dies and can no longer sustain our consciousness. And I I'm grateful to you for giving me an opportunity to explain this. And this is just again, it's my opinion. People can decide how they feel about it. I'm not saying they have to believe, I'm just explaining that I got to feel what it's like because of my husband's compassion, for her to leave the body and to see the light, and she, it's like she was gripping me and she let go of me. And all of a sudden, I was myself again. I warmed up. I hugged my husband for a long time because I thought, my gosh, I married the greatest guy. Can you imagine how, from a marriage point of view, look at the man I married, kind and compassionate man. We didn't hate her, we weren't angry, we're gonna go find them, and it was she doesn't understand what happened to her. We don't either, but maybe this will help her. And it helped her. She crossed over, but it changed me forever in a really good and powerful way. We have the experiences we need to have to be able to move to the next level in life, and it it changed

Understanding Grief and Transition

SPEAKER_00

both of us. It was I wrote about this in Ghost Stories from the Ghost Point of View. That story is in book three of the series, and I go into enormous detail about what that was like for both of us. So when a person dies, especially if it's sudden, you know, one minute you're standing on the street corner, and the next minute you're looking over and you're looking at your body, and it's and you're thinking, How did this happen to me? How can I fix this? And there's no fixing it. The body's the body is not gonna come back. And maybe your life was complete at 22 years old, or six years old, or 90 years old. We don't know what the experiences are that are necessary for that soul. So we have to respect that people come into our lives or we come into life, we may not live a very long life, we might live a short life, and it's still okay. So it's kind of a long explanation. Does does that help?

SPEAKER_01

It helps, definitely. I mean, um I believe this is something you said that correctly. I mean, they are basically they actually need the body because the so I don't say soul, but yes, they're invisible, and uh without body, they are kind of powerless, if I'm correct, right?

SPEAKER_00

Without a physical body, you can't experience smell and taste and touch. You do experience emotion, grief, okay, or joy at seeing, you know, a lot of ghosts linger for a long time, confusion. Children who die are always confused. They're looking for an adult or a parent to tell them what to do next. And if you ask most people, if you died two seconds from now, do you know what you're supposed to do next? It's not something that we mortal people would routinely contemplate. We'd go, I don't have to worry about that. But I'm sorry, some people do. And if you are prepared, then you can embrace the next experience. And some people go into in some souls, and we we know this is true because we separate body and soul as soon as somebody dies. We're gonna bury the body, but we know that their soul is in heaven with God. We say that.

SPEAKER_02

Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and it's so on such a a a subconscious level, we know it. I don't care if you're a scientist, you know it. Because you know it, it's one of the first rules of thermodynamics. Energy is neither created nor destroyed, it is hard, hard science. Yeah, it's not metaphysics, it's physics. What becomes metaphysics is actually understanding what is the soul experiencing. If you were in torture and you and you were had cancer or some horrible disease and you died and you're released from this tortured body, well, your feeling toward death is it is a blessing. But if you're a young person and and you're healthy and you died in some sort of an accident or you were murdered, and see the method of death and the age of death, all are parameters in how the soul grieves or approaches their death when they're no longer in a mortal frame. There are vicious, vindictive people who have a desire to continue to hurt other people, even in death, which is why I cross over murderers. I wrote this book, the crossing over prayer book, and it's 88 prayers that help the living and the dead. And there's a prayer to cross over a murderer, because in the 23rd Psalm it says, He restoreth my soul. If you have the capacity to commit murder, it's as if parts of your soul are shaved off, life after life after life, so that the conscience, the moral framework is destroyed. When you return this quote, evil person to the house of God, that soul can be restored. It doesn't change the karma the soul created that still has to be balanced, that's way beyond my pay grade, but it enables you to understand every soul without judgment or prejudice can benefit from being crossed over.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. So I'll also quickly ask you like when someone says that I think there's a spirit in my

Exploring Ghosts and the Afterlife

SPEAKER_01

house, right? So instead of panic, what kind of I mean, what tends to actually be happening?

SPEAKER_00

The earth has been inhabited for millions of years. And their archaeology is a really fascinating study right now because they're discovering that they think the age of the earth that we think we know, we're still learning, and isn't that wonderful? When you look at geology and you look at the layers of earth, what if you were to look of those layers of earth as stacks of time? And in every stack of time, there are human beings who have lived there, they have died there. There was trauma or joy in that stack of time. I do remote viewing, so when I remote view a location, I go back through the stack of time and sift through time to find the most powerful traumatic moment that is causing the problem in that location. You can have a location. I remote viewed a house in Williamsburg, Virginia, and the family said it just feels sad here. It's a beautiful house, a gorgeous location, but we walk in the house and we're sad, and we just think there's something here, but we don't feel a ghost, we just don't understand. And I've known the remote viewed four of this client's houses. But I had to sift back through time to the Revolutionary War in the United States. It was something like 1750. So I had to go back quite a few years, almost 300 years. And I sifted through that time in that location, and what I discovered was there was a small, like one-room structure with a woman and her teenage son. Her husband was fighting with General Washington, General George Washington's forces. He wasn't there. British troops rode up on horseback. The teenage boy grabbed his long rifle, which he could barely lift, and and and you know, is is pointing it at the British lieutenant. The lieutenant takes his pistol out and shoots the kid right in front of his mother. And the mother starts screaming, and that's what I heard. That's how I found her through the stack of time. I could hear, psychically hear her screaming at the horror that this man killed her son. And she's she just couldn't seem to stop screaming. His troops who were with him were just horrified he did this, but he was a cruel man anyway. And then they go in her house and they say, Well, there's nothing we can take. She doesn't have anything, and he says, Burn it down. So they they kill her son, they burn her house down, and then as he's walking, as they're riding away, he turns around and he shoots her too. So in a few moments, you have this enormous amount of murder, fire, all focused in that one location, but it echoed through the stacks of time, and that's what I could hear. So I crossed she and her son over, and the other settlers saw the fire and they buried them. But you know how long ago they, you know, but crossing them over, and I cleared the the property, when you have a great deal of violence happen in one location, you can create what's called um a portal to a dark world, and other dark things can come in. So I closed all that up, crossed these people over, and gave healing to the land. But once that happened, she said it was like the sun came out and they didn't feel bad. The house felt happy again. All because these two souls were crossed over and the land received healing. Because we know that metal holds memory, and we know crystal holds memory. So the minerals in the earth hold the memory of the events that happen in various locations. So when you're clearing a place or you see something like that, can make a difference. Now, if you're not sure how long ago or what happened, and you don't want you should not have to pay a medium. Again, the crossing over prayer book has prayers you can use and that clear of the stacks of time. If it's a ghost that died, maybe that person died in the house. You can say the crossing over prayer, which I actually have on cards that are available on ghosthelpers.com, and you can say the crossing over prayer as many times as you feel is necessary till you feel it's like this subtle shift, and you know that that person or that ghost is gone. And those are just a couple things that you can do. But ordering the ghost to leave, burning sage, which I don't know why the new age thinks that works, because it does not, all those things, they're not helping the dead. If you help the dead as an act of compassion, because it's the compassion you will want for yourself, then you earn the karma for helping them. You did something enormously compassionate, and maybe you were afraid, but you stood up to your fear and you still help them. It's good for you, and it's really good for the soul.

SPEAKER_02

Wow.

SPEAKER_01

Amazing. And okay, one more thing, like yeah, I'm very curious about this one also. Like, yeah, I mean you were mentioning about some people cannot cross over after death. So why don't some people cross over after death? What keeps them here?

The Journey of Crossing Over: Understanding Souls and Their Attachments

SPEAKER_00

I was in my I used to live in San Diego, California.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And my neighbor was an orthopedic surgeon and he died in a motorcycle accident. And um, he had moved away from where we used to be neighbors.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

One day I'm in my office and I feel him there, and he said, and I went, Whoa, gee, Jeff, what are you doing here? And he said, You have to cross me over. He said, My family is clinging to me. They won't let me go. He said, I feel these emotional blows. Black cords wrapped around me, and I can't I can't take their grief. It's just horrible. And he said, I led a good life. Can you please just cross me over? And I said, Sure, I'll be glad to do that. And I did write a story about him in Ghost Stories in the Ghost Point of View book as well. He was held in place because he loved the grief of his family. Some people don't know they're dead. You see this on battlefields, you see it at accident sites. Some people know they're dead, but they don't know what to do. So there's it's not just one reason. Some people know they're dead, and they are so vicious and vindictive, they are determined to haunt the living. My mother-in-law said that. When I die, by God, I'm going to come back and haunt you. Well, as soon as she died, I crossed her over. So that was the best thing for her. And she didn't earn the karma of harming the living. Because a ghost still incurs karma until they are crossed over. That's a really big concept when you think about it. Because if you're I had a ghost jump in the car with me from the 1960s, and it was the, you know, it was year 2000. I ran a stoplight, and you know, I I tapped this guy's bumper and it didn't hurt anything, but it was awful. Um, but she earned the karma of creating that accident. I had to cross her over when I realized what had happened. I was still new at this. Uh, this was so long ago. When a person dies, the kindest, fastest thing you can do is to just say the simple words of crossing them over. And if you never heard of my prayer, you don't have the prayer, because these are all audiobooks. Crossing over prayer is an audiobook. You can just play those prayers in the audiobook or the website. The crossing over prayer is free on ghosthelpers.com. When you do that, you clear the earth because a ghost is a burden for the earth itself. You have old toxic energy, it is not beneficial for the earth. So people don't cross over for a million different reasons. A lot of men on battlefields don't know they died, and they've been there since the Revolutionary War or World Wars or you know, you know, there's wars all over Asia, Southeast Asia, I mean, Mongol Empire, all these people died. Everybody dies eventually. But crossing them over helps to reduce the burden on the land itself.

Understanding Psychic Children

SPEAKER_00

Wow.

SPEAKER_01

Amazing, amazing. Like, let's discuss about the uh psychic part also. Like, many parents say that their child sees or speaks to someone invisible, right? And some dismiss it, others panic. So, what tends to actually be happening in those cases?

SPEAKER_00

Sometimes children are able to say things that adults cannot because the term is the veil. Okay, you hear psychics say, Oh, the veil comes down, and and you couldn't see, they couldn't be psychic anymore. Well, and the theory is that the veil hasn't dropped for children, and that's why they can see a ghost, or some people see you know what's called the Devic Kingdom, they see nature spirits.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

When a child says that to you, don't just dismiss it. Sit down, look at their face, and talk to them. Find out what they are really seeing. And then if you are fortunate enough to hear this podcast, then you can you know go to ghosthelpers.com and just read the crossing over prayer. Your child will tell you if that ghost is still there. And it is you build a partnership with your child. That's why I wrote this wonderful book called, and it's a significant work, psychic children, psychic people, because it has the tools for adults and children, for whoever has psychic ability, it has the tools to help you to deal with this ability by knowing what the pitfalls are, how to keep yourself safe from really vicious ghosts, and how to help another child ghost that you can see. Or if let's say you're traveling and your child sees a ghost, you know, in a field somewhere that they died, or your child starts having dreams of ghosts. And if you don't treat your child like they're lying, most children can't make this up. I had a child, a three-year-old, tell me that they died when they were born, and they were afraid to be born again because it was so bad when they died the last time. It's a child of three, and I believed him. I absolutely believed him, and he he was so earnest in his telling me, and I just listened, and of course, I communicated this to his parents who were also very sensitive to him and listened. When you treat your child with respect, you don't dismiss them, you don't belittle them, you give your child the respect that you would want for yourself with kindness and say, Well, you know what? If you're seeing this ghost, let's help them together and nod your head. We can do this. Let's use a prayer. And what are you doing? You're connecting your child to God. You're not coming from a place of fear, you're coming from a place of strength and compassion. Look at the life lessons that are offered to you, and you as the parent are embracing those lessons without fear. I mean, we're all gonna be ghosts someday. All of us will become a ghost, maybe for just moments, but maybe we maybe longer. Won't we want somebody to help us, or wouldn't it be nice to know what to do when you die? Wouldn't that be an amazing thing? So if you have a psychic child, I had a client with psychic twin psychic four-year-olds, and we worked for a couple of months, wasn't long, you know, just a couple months. I gave her the tools, really, really helped her, and now she built a she and her husband built a partnership with those boys. They were astonishingly psychic. So a psychic child can be a nightmare, or they can be a child of service to humanity, but they have to have training and wise parents.

SPEAKER_01

That's amazing. And so for someone who has lost a loved one, maybe radistically or maybe suddenly, and they are carrying guilt, unfinished words, or fear about what happened after death, what would you want them to hear right now?

SPEAKER_00

I think that's a really, really powerful question. If a person dies suddenly, and you you wish you had said, well, remember, death is simply walking through God's other door. So, first of all, cross the person over. You will do something amazing for them. Write down what you wanted to say to them. Read it out loud. If you're angry at them, say I was angry at you for these things. Or I miss you so much, I will always love you. When you write it down, and then you get to the end and say, I love you, I forgive you for leaving. Maybe I won't understand it now, but I will always love you. Because we are all on earth to learn every facet. I mean, I have a lot of crystal. There's a million facets on these crystals. Well, there are a million facets to learning how love works. When you can learn that love, you can still love even though someone is gone. My six-year-old niece sat next to my sister on the sofa. She said, Mommy, I feel hot, and she just dropped dead right in front of my sister. It was astonishing and shocking and mind-jarring. I send loving prayers to my niece every single night. You know, I send prayers to her, I tell her that I love her. Those prayers, because prayers are energy, and energy travels through the quantum field. That's what string theory is, that's what quantum entanglement is. We could do a whole show just on those two things. Wouldn't that be fun?

SPEAKER_02

Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

When you say a prayer, and it doesn't matter what faith you're born into, it doesn't matter. Whatever you believe or don't believe, or go to a church or building, doesn't matter. What matters is your connection to love and to God. When you love, it doesn't have a structure, it is all encompassing. When you send this love, you're literally sending it through the ether or what's also called the quantum field. And that love travels with the speed of thought, it's not encumbered by atmosphere or walls or earth, it travels there immediately. And when you can do that, when you embrace these amazing concepts of love, it raises your frequency. Maybe you were angry at this person, maybe you wished you could have loved them more or wish they had loved you more.

Exploring Love and Loss

SPEAKER_00

But the opportunity for that physical contact is over now. You have to accept that and detach from the mortal physicality and embrace the concepts of love. When you do that, everything will change for you.

SPEAKER_01

Lovely. And uh I definitely wanted to continue with the discussion, but I know the time is constrained. But um, where can our listeners learn more about your work and the access the crossover prayers?

SPEAKER_00

I have actually two websites, but we'll focus on ghosthelpers.com. Ghosthelpers.com. And I have all nine books that I've written from the crossingover prayer book, psychic children, psychic people, grief book, the ghost books. I've got three books on karma, are all on that website, and they are all connect you directly to Amazon.com. And my books are sold all over the world so that anyone can access them. Unfortunately, they're only in English because I love to translate, and a lot of spiritual concepts are really hard to cross over in translation. So be that as it may, yeah. Um, and I've got podcasts out, so I would say that if you never can find the crossing over prayer and it's on the website, ask angels to embrace your loved one and take that loved one to God. It can be that simple. You don't have to pay a medium, and then you can always talk to the person long after they're gone, and that love will live forever. So that's how that's how people can reach me. Contacted ghosthelpers.com reaches me. So, and thank you so much for having me and allowing me to share these humble concepts. I really, really appreciate it.

I really love that. Thank you so much for sharing that. And dear listeners, I'll put all the links in the details into the showroom notes for the best experience. And definitely you can visit to those two websites. And uh the uh the books are available on Amazon, including the crossing over prayer book. And I encourage everyone of you to explore and learn how to help the debt with compassion and the confidence. Thank you so much for joining again, and uh this has been another episode of Mind Meets Machine Deal Express where we explore questions at the age of science, spirit, and the human experience. So, whether you are skeptical or curious or I would say quite deflective, I definitely invite you to sit with this idea. What if helping the unseen is simply an extension of helping the living only?
